During the year you should keep the motor case clean from dust and chemicals by frequently wiping it off.

Electric File Troubleshooting

Problem: My Bit Wraps Around The Nail And I Lose Control

Solution: Slow your RPM’S down and use less pressure. This happens mostly when you don’t have control or are using a very sharp bit that does not require much pressure to be effective.

Problem: Why Do My Bits Get Hot

Pressure causes friction, friction causes heat. So with too much pressure or by leaving the bit on the nail too long it can heat up. Going back and forth with too much pressure is the main culprit.

Try working from left to right, picking the bit up off the nail to return to the right side allowing the nail to cool in between strokes.

Yes, they are synthetic rubberized soft bits that can be used on the natural nail plate safely to prep the natural nail, remove ptergyium and buff the nails prior to the high shine process. They are also good for smoothing the nail surface on nails and toe nails that are ridged.

Can I Use A Carbide Bit On A Natural Nail?

Metal should never touch the natural nail plate however many techs use a fine bit on a slow speed to prep the natural nails carefully. Natural nail bits are safer.
